The SOLID T salt spreader is used to spread salt, a mixture of salt and a wet substance (a solution of CaCl₂), or fine gravel, over frozen roads at low temperatures.

The dosage and transport of spreading material is performed by a conveyor belt.

The SOLID T salt spreaders have a light construction, based on building modules.

The SOLID T salt spreaders can be mounted onto a truck or a UNIMOG multipurpose vehicle with the appropriate bearing capacity and dimensions. The spreader can be powered by a municipal two-circuit hydraulic, mounted onto the vehicle in compliance with standars, or by a diesel engine and hydraulic pump, constructed as a seperate unit for each spreader.

The tarpaulin cover ensures that the spreading material in the container stays dry, thus preventing freezing.
Crossbars on the top of the container prevent the intrusion of larger pieces of spreading material that could cause stoppage.

The SOLID T salt spreaders are the result of RASCO's many years of experience at manufacturing similar devices for winter maintenance.

These spreaders are RASCO's latest generation of salt spreaders.

The control panel can be used to adjust the width of spreading from 0 – 12 m, the quantity of spreading material from 0 – 250 g/m² (depending on the desired quantity and type of spreading material). The switches on the electronic control panel are used to switch on or off the pump for the liquid spreading substance, the rotational signal light, and the working light above the plate which helps to visually monitor the spreading process.

Containers for the solid spreading material are manufactured in the range from 4.5 m³ to 8 m³, while the size of tanks for the wet substance can be from 1800 to 2400 liters. The tanks for the wet substance are mounted onto the device as a compact unit.
